Hello JJ, I recently purchase your book..which I love by the way. A couple of my co-workers and I will be starting the Detoxification phase March 1st. I have a couple of questions…1). Is there a limit to the amount of Coconut water that one should drink in a day, or can you drink as much as you choose (I tried it out yesterday to see how it tasted, and found that it made me thristy)?  2). The Colon-Cleansing Method which you recommend is it done through-out the detoxifcation and eating phase. For example:  If I chose to purchase the Mag07 supplements, do I take 3-5 of them per night for (21 detox 21 eating phase, or just for 7-10 days during the dexto phase??? Also, do you recommend both the supplements along with the green drink or can one choose to do one over the other??

Thank you in advance for your response, and keep up the good work!!!!

Hey Precious!  Great questions to help you get ready for March 1st!  You can drink as much coconut water as you want, marathon runners use it to hydrate the body as it is high in electrolytes and potassium…it's known as the "natural" gatorade because it has no added sugars…only natural sugar.  For the DETOX phase of the DEM System, you have to select a colon cleanser.  Some do the Mag07, which is 3-5 at bedtime for 7-10 days.  However some choose the other recommended colon cleansers which are 30 days long.  In addition to the colon cleanser, the green drink and fiber (taken together each morning) are also mandatory as well.  All of these things work together to detox and cleanse the body, break the addictions to unhealhty foods and to jumpstart weight loss.  I hope that answers your question, if not, hit me back, I'm around…

Hey JJ,  The Maf07 what are the side effects? #2 For people with grapefruit allergies will it be a good idea for them to use this product? What about the fiber tablets? Also, What is your opinion for people who have kidney transplants? Have you ever heard of any of them taking colonics? Thanks Cry

Precious, since you had a kidney transplant, you should consult your doctor before starting any of the detox methods. There are known no side effect to Mag07… If your stools get loose, just reduce dosage…2-4 works for most…verify the ingredients for grapefruit allergies.

From my knowledge Mag07 nor the fiber has grapefruit in it, but double-check the labels…

I am so excited to start the DEM. JJ I love you on the Steve Harvey show. Hope he will convince you to put a before and after picture up on your website. Even if you don't I have a close friend that has already lost 8 pound and this is day 5 for her. I am going to Whole Foods this weekend to get prepared. My question is I already have 3 colonics scheduled for each week of the detox phase. I have done colonics in the past and I have had great success. But what other detox methods should I be doing? you list about ten in your book. I really can't stomach pills. But is their a tea that i can drink along with the green drink? also I have a juicer is it okay for me to make my own green drink of should I stick with the power substance?Confused

Thanks SCLARKE the Steve Harvey show is so much fun for me! Keep the Colonics as scheduled. They are great during the 3 week detox phase. If you do tea, it needs to be decaf tea for the first phase as caffeine is one of the foods not allowed. And juicing your green leafy veggies is actually BETTER than the green powdered drink but since everyone doesn't have time to juice everyday we ask that they just 'drink' their green leafy veggies which is called the 'green drink'. Other detox methods you can add during this 3 week detox phase since you don't like pills are saunas, dry brushing (which helps with cellulite). if you have achy joints and pains, try the detox foot pads. That's probably enough initially…explore the other detox methods later after you see how your body responds to the others. Good luck! Keep me posted!

Hi JJ. I too am planning to begin phase 1 on March 1st. I have a colonic scheduled for March 2nd. I'm a first timer. Should I schedule more than one during the initial 3 week period or just try other methods? Also with the whole grain breads, is pumpernickel bread a good choice? Confused

Hey burbaby!  Congrats on your new journey!  Since you're a first timer for your colonic, doing a series of 3 (at least) is very beneficial  You can do the 3 weekly or every other week so that would be Week 1 and Week 3 of the 21 day detox phase OR every week of the Detox phase.   You could also try a sauna or body brushing (which helps diminish cellulite) as other detox methods.  Only starting with a few first is good so you can see how your body responds to them!  Pumpernickel is whole-grain rye so it's an OK choice, but to get the BEST results.. limit whole-grain breads/pastas to 1-2/week… and MORE Fruits and veggies:-)

Are you supposed to use Coconut water during the first phase?  I noticed the 2 you recommended were full of sugar 12-15 gms.  Need assistance please.

my4, the coconut water, just like ALL fruit has natural sugar in it. But they have no 'added' white, refined sugars. In my teleseminar, 7 Ways to kick the sugar habit i explained this (that teleseminar is posted in the sugar addict section of this forum). When you're detoxing you primarily want to drink alkaline water or spring water, but feel free to throw in some coconut water here and there for variety.

I'm having difficulty finding the body brush. Any suggestions? Also, I experienced my first colonic yesterday. Not bad at all and it wasn't painful. It was interesting to watch…yes I saw everything. I'm going back next Friday.

Burbaby! Glad to hear your Colonic went well. Body brushes are in health food stores, whole foods, trader joes even online on amazon.com and other places. I've even seen them in CVS.

Hi J. J.,

I haven't officially started the detox phase, but I have started getting into the habit of changing what I eat, and I already see results.  I have already taken three colonics, and my question is: Do I need to take additional ones along with the other recommended colon cleansers when I start the detox phase?  It's not a problem, but was wondering if I need to.  I should be starting next week, but I have scheduled addtional colonics just in case I need to continue to take them.

I've also started to visit the sauna at my gym twice a week (Don't even go to workout), and OMG, I've been getting so many compliments on my skin.

I am almost done getting my supplies - I went crazy this weekend shopping for organic fruits and veggies, and there is quite a difference in the taste as opposed to the regular fruits and veggies.  I'm loving it.

I also purchased some of the Bob's Red Mill products that you recommended.  Hope I like them!!!

Thanks again, for your help and attention through all of this.

Ms. Geri, I LOVE THE PREPARATION!! It's so essential!  And, I know about that sauna.. I used to have acne and it has helped to clear my skin up and it really glows as a result..  it's my number 1 detox method these days!

If you have a few more colonics scheduled WHILE youre in the detox phase, that's great!  some form of colon cleanser or colonic DURING the detox phase is really essential! Be sure they give you a probiotic after each session…it's helpful to replenish all the good bacteria!  I think you'll love bobs red mill products… great quality .. and add fresh berries or strawberries to any of the whole grain/oats cereals and is a great way to start the day. Keep it simple during the detox, fresh fruits, veggies, whole grains, nuts and seeds.. and you'll be on your way… if someone were to ask me what's the BEST meal for the detox phase … I would say a SALAD with fruit (apples, mandarins, pears etc) or nuts (walnuts, pistachios,e etc) or veggies (carrots, brocoli, etc)… it's great for this phase! Good luck…keep me posted!

Oooooh, I'm on the right track, Ms J. J…  I love all of those things on my salads, and I got them.  Being from the south, I love all fruits and veggies because we grew them all (Ate them when we had nothing else to eat), but just got away from eating them righteously.  I know better.

You know, I asked the technician about the probiotics, but she hasn't offered them to me at any of the sessions.  I will get them when I get the rest of my supplies.

Well you certainly have beautiful skin now, and thank you for sharing this wealth of info.  I can't thank you enough.

why thank you! And yes, take the probiotics right after the session. Your body will replenish the good bacteria within 24 hours but it's best to just replenish them with probiotics right after the session
