JJ has dedicated her life to the field of healthy eating and living. JJ's passion is to educate others and share with them the natural remedies to stay slim, restore health, and look and feel younger. JJ has studied many philosophies of natural healing and learned from some of the great teachers of our time. JJ is also the Founder of Sisters Getting Slim™, support community of women who don't always have the time or discipline to diet or exercise yet still need proven strategies to lose weight and get healthy.
When JJ was in her twenties, she could eat anything she wanted and still stay slim. Unfortunately, JJ practiced poor eating habits: JJ was a junk food and fast-food junkie. When JJ was in her thirties, her health began to deteriorate, and as her metabolism slowed, her weight began to increase. JJ eventually gained forty pounds and went up four dress sizes. However, of even greater concern were the numerous health ailments and illnesses that she began to experience.
JJ tried South Beach and other diets, but they required too much discipline and only worked as long as she stayed on them. But she thought, "who wants to be on a diet all the time? " JJ learned that if you go on a diet, at some point, when you go off the diet, you typically gain the weight back. So, she got off diets and changed her lifestyle to lose weight, regain energy, and restore her health. JJ researched everything she could about different ways to heal her body and get healthy. The more techniques she tried, the better she started to look and feel. In fact, something very interesting happened. The more she applied natural practices of healing, the more she slimmed down and the more youthful she began to look. It was as though she was turning back the hands of time. At that point, JJ knew she was on the right path toward staying slim and healthy and getting her life back!
By the time JJ was in her late thirties, she had really started to heavily research, study, and apply knowledge about how to heal her body and lose weight. JJ even went on to receive several certifications—one as a certified nutritionist and another as a certified weight-management expert. JJ received her certification as Nutritionist from the International Institute of Holistic Healing. JJ received her certification as a Weight-Management Specialist from the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA). She is also a member of the American Nutrition Association (ANA).Now, in her forties, JJ teaches her numerous clients these techniques to stay slim, restore health, and get their sexy back!
